Daily Drawing Update - Week Ten

This is a 'better late than never' kind of post that will conclude my daily drawing series... for now anyway. I have been struggling to find the time to draw due to life getting in the way but I managed to do some drawing when I was on holiday in Cornwall so I thought I'd share them with you.

#64 - Late night drawing off the harbour.
#65 - I thought this boat looked all lonely out there in the middle of the harbour.
#66 - 'Fun Day' at Gorran Haven beach. I am now defending champion of the quoits competition of 2015, woo!
#67 - This little cove was perfect for skimming stones!
#68 - A lone yacht late at night. The blue of the sea and sky matched perfectly there was no horizon line to be seen.
#69 - Little fishing trawler from Fowey.
#70 - A view of St. Ives beach where a seagull stole my Ice cream!

Daily Drawing Update - Week Nine

Sorry this one is a bit late, I have been busy travelling back and forth and working so not found the time to upload. This week I drew some of the patterns I used to make up the animal drawings which I printed onto tote bags. Next week is probably going to be the last for a while as I am finding it more and more difficult to come up with things and find the time to sit down and draw them. I may start again in a bit when I have more time and inspiration, I will see how it goes.

Daily Drawing Update - Week Eight

I'm back! for those of you who don't know the past couple of weeks have been very busy for me with moving into my new house, but now the move is complete! Last week all my arty things were boxed up so I was unable to get my daily drawings done, I hope you can let me off? Anyway, my belongings are all unpacked and stored snug in my new, small room which is great as I can now create things again! I also had a short but sweet visit home and found a 'draw 50 animals' book on my old shelf so I decided to draw some of the animals from it, I hope you like them!

#51 - Otter.

Daily Drawing Update - Week Seven

So this week has been really busy as I have been moving into my new house along with my 5 housemates. The place is coming together and is feeling more like a home but it took a while to get rid of the creepy crawlers that had decided to rule the place. This gave me an idea for this weeks daily drawings.
#43 - House Spider.
#44 - Ant.
#45 - Ladybird.
#46 - Carpet Beetle.
#47 - Fly.
#48 - Bed bug.
#49 - Stink Bug.

Daily Drawing Update - Week Six

Taking a breather and drawing more abstract patterns last week helped me as it took off the pressure slightly, pressure that was stressing me out and clouding my thoughts. Now I am back with inspiration and ideas to propel me for a few more weeks at least! One of my main thinking times is when I am in the shower. I love to stand under the warm waterfall and contemplate life and other random things - 'shower thoughts'. I have used this time to think about things I can draw to keep me motivated, and now I have a good list of themes for future weeks. Here is the first from that list...
#36 - Heel.
#37 - Heel.
#38 - Shoe.
#39 - Wedge.
#40 - Shoe.
#41 - Sandal.

Daily Drawing Update - Week Five

I have to admit I struggled with motivation for this weeks daily drawings following from a week I was unhappy with. I decided to go more abstract so that I didn't have to think to much on a subject matter, it all came from mindless doodling but I don't think that's a bad thing. Creative block is something I am familiar with being an artist so sometimes I just have to step back and do something slightly easier to get my head back in the game. Hopefully next week will be a better one!
#29 - Green.
#30 - Blue.
#31 - Orange.
#32 - Yellow.
#33 - Red.
#34 - Brown.
#35 - Purple.

Daily Drawing Update - Week Four

This week the challenge was to draw our future house family in the style of Buttonfruit in black ink. I chose to draw all of our profile pictures from Facebook as a point of reference. I'm really not happy with this weeks drawings, but sometimes you got to try something different to see what works for you and what doesn't. You can't produce something you 100% love all of the time so you just have to experiment and not let it get to you.

#24 - Rhian.
#25 - Hannah.
#26 - Joe.
